"I’ve also been sent an excellent new song by the revised line-up of the Heavy Metal Kids, with John Altman of ‘Nasty’ Nick Cotton from EastEnders fame on lead vocals. ‘Uncontrollable’ is quite splendid; wild, commercial and flamboyantly theatrical, just like the group’s old days, but for all the aggression implied in its title it’s also very slightly camp. I love the way Altman refers to his Ma in a spoken word ad-libbed conclusion. Dot Cotton would be proud."

HEAVY METAL KIDS MYSTERY NEW FRONTMAN REVEALED!

Keith Boyce, Ronnie Thomas and Cosmo are pleased to reveal that their collaboration
to get 'The Rock and Roll Show' back on the road with the highly talented Justin McConville
is now complete with the most appropriate front man the band could have
since the late Gary Holton... Mr John Altman aka 'Johnny Rio' and the well-known
Eastenders character 'Nasty Nick'.
John and the Kids are 'Delirious' and won't be 'Hanging On' to share the news
with all the fab Heavy Metal Kids fans any longer.
Sadly it is the 25th anniversary of Gary's passing this coming October
and with John having been a friend of Gary's and also having worked alongside him
in the iconic British film 'Quadrophenia' he feels that to be able to perform
in Gary's place is the greatest form of respect he could ever pay.
