Classic Rock's Dave Ling
With keyboard player (and one-time UFO member) Danny Peyronel stepping up to the microphone with ease, and original bassist Ronnie Thomas and drummer Keith Boyce behind him, the reformed Kids have made a refreshingly breezy and hook-crazed comeback album to confound and infuriate the sceptics. It's hard to select highlights, but 'Message', 'Girl Of My Dreams' and 'Crool World' are all among the best pop-rock anthems that any artist will release in 2003.

Get Ready To Rock's Jason Richie
A great album, it's chock full of memorable melodies and catchy hooks. (Read the full review HERE)

Strangers In The Night's Batttttty
To sum up.... it's a foot-stompin-head-bangin-finger-clickin-brain-rockin-fast-driving-hand-jivin-hip-jiggin-eye- pokin-(but-not-too-thought-provokin)-arse-kickin album from a bunch of really nice blokes who are up there doing it cos they want to do it. There's no faking that excitement - it's real. The production is excellent and brings out the whole vibe of the album - the keyword is... FEELGOOD! (Read the full review HERE)

Musical history! Danny Peyronel was a member of UFO in the seventies, but HMK was his real baby. With three original members in the line-up they now release their first album since the heydays. In my opinion this one is better than anything they've done before! They had a slightly punkish garagy attitude, which I wasn't 100% into at the time. The attitude is still there, slightly polished and now it feels completely OK! This is good, at times really good! HMK of today has a touch of Cheap Trick meets The Motors, hard rock with a bit of pop harmonies. It varies from really heavy stuff like "Whisky" and "A Hundred Skeletons" to quite simple and straight forward pop-rock like in "Voices" and "Girl Of My Dreams", which gave me a really strong Bram Tchaikovsky-vibe.

Slamrocks' Marco Paracchini
... a stunning album, brimming with fresh sounds and arrangements while remaining completely true to the spirit of their heydays. (Read the full review in Italian HERE)

Rock Report's Kris Vandekerckhove
... an album that holds breathtaking arrangements & powerhouse choruses in every single song.... If you like your music no-strings-attached, think of Hanoi Rocks with a mature pop/punk edge, then this is your band and your album. "Hit the right button"?! Hell, yeah! (Read the full review HERE)

Metalitalia's Gennaro Dileo
... the songs are ultra-fresh and with a modern sound which doesn't take away one bit from the 70's roots of the band. (Read the full review HERE)

Powerplay's Paul McCanny
What a pleasant surprise to hear an album that's immediately accessible on the very first listen and continues to be equally enjoyable on every subsequent spin.

Flash Magazine's Ulisse Carminati
The sound they offer is an explosive mixture of UFO, Sweet, Status Quo and heavy de luxe rock, all brought to you tastefully and with extreme freshness.

Rock Hard's Benji
... a complete range of genres which the obviously experienced band has all down to a tee. This includes the two excellent Italian guitar players, completely in tune with the spirit of a group whose return - as surprising as it is outstanding - we can only cheer. (Read the full review HERE)

Fireworks Magazine's Phil Ashcroft
High energy rock'n'roll from start to finish ...... A lot of newer young bands would do well to look at how fresh and vital this album sounds.... An unexpected gem.

Classic Rock Revisited's Jeb Wright
There is not a bad song on the CD. In a day and age where most older bands make mediocre new music it is refreshing to hear a band stay true to their roots and have such a damn good time playing music. (Read the full review HERE)

Robust guitars and infectious chorus will please the fans of heavier rock. It’s hard to find a filler so I’m not even gonna try. Instead I’m gonna raise “Viva New York” and “Gotham City” a bit above the others. “Viva New York” because it’s just so damn good that you wanna keep playing it and “Gotham City” because it’s one of those songs that put a smile on your face.(Read the full review HERE)

Home Of Rock's Fred Schmidtlein
HIT THE RIGHT BUTTON is Rock & Roll, Street-Pop, Boogie and the statement of a band who have been able to put aside their past without compromising their tradition. They hit the right button indeed - to me it's the comeback of the year! (Read the full review HERE)

Hull Daily Mail's Darren Bunting
It's classic British heavy rock. Hit The Right Button instantly bought a smile to my face when I listened to it..... If you like your rock music to have proper songs, guitar solos and a chorus you can sing along to, get hold of a copy of Hit The Right Button as soon as you can. (5 out of 5)

Hine's Treasure House's Tetsuya Hineno
Overall the album has a straight rocknroll feeling, but it's not just a retro feel. There is something new in there, blended with the retro feel that works very well together. New and old fans alike will really enjoy this album. When you listen to this album you can tell that the HMK are serious about their reunion. (Read the full review in Japanese and English)

Do Something Pretty's Mike Diver
Anglo-Italian pop-punkers HMK have been there, seen that and worn out every available t-shirt, or at least that’s what we’re led to believe. We’re also told that HMK have influenced a generation of ‘punk n roll’ bands, from The Hellacopters to The Datsuns to The Wildhearts. Well, I’m not entirely sure whether that’s the case or not, but I do know that I’d rather listen to this than The Datsuns any day.
