Thousands of you (hey, we can bullshit - we're the Heavy Metal Kids!)
have been writing in to tell us that you love the new album,
so we thought we'd have a section that consists entirely of YOUR reviews

To start the rocknroll ball rolling, here is a
review of
HIT THE RIGHT BUTTON by GEOFF

Now that I have had time to listen the new CD, I can give an objective review.
It is ucking stunning. If anyone gives you a bad review I will send round Lenny the bat. The whole thing is great, Message, Blow It All Away, Wildlife, Viva New York, Crool World, Whisky, A Hundred Skeletons and Gotham City are real stand-out tracks.
There are times you do sound like Gary. What makes these songs sound so great is the killer melody they all have, and if there's one thing I like it's a killer melody.
The one thing I did notice was the production, the bottom end hits you in the gut and it has that slightly dirty sound synonymous with analogue LP's, but missing from a lot of digitally produced rock music. So it's not just P F M and spaghetti the Italians are good at. When Isabelle recorded her vocal, did they forget to switch on her mike or was it lost in the mix down? Give me a clue, where is her vocal ?
(Response from Danny) She does some of those really weird and wonderful harmony vocals on Whisky (you may not be singling them out, but if they weren't there you'd sure notice!), which the italian boys are proving themselves brilliant at reproducing live! I have to say, I never thought I'd be in a band with someone that can do harmonies as high as wot I can, and even maybe higher!!!!!!!!!! (mostly Marco G.)
Danny, looking forward to seeing HMK live and will buy you all a drink.
Excellent!!! Of course, we never say no, and that's probably why we're always in such trouble...but that's another story and a very sad one. Hahahahahaha!!!!

Please do not make this C D a one off, there must be lots of new material to come. Worth doing a CD of the demo's for us anoraks. It will NOT be a one-off!!! We already have plans for a live CD, which will be cool, because then we'll have our new, dynamite versions of some of the old bollocks, like Angel, Chelsea Kids, Delirious, Cops Are Coming and maybe even some others (these are the ones we've already done live and they sound potent!). We are also fooling around with a name for the next studio one already too. So we need all the support we can gather throughout the planet to make it happen. And we will. Fear not.

And there's more....

Mike from Oxford reminisces thusly...

Here is a scan of my ticket from a 1975 gig at Malvern Winter Gardens. I travelled from Oxford and although it was a long time ago I remember it was a good gig. I saw them again at the Roundhouse and I think Sam Apple Pie were supporting,
Gary was on crutches as he had fallen off the stage at a previous gig I believe, he came on in a wheel chair and was wearing surgical greens. Hope my memory is right but that is how I remember it.
Mike
